i just built a new pc with an msi z68a-g43 (g3) running the new uefi bios. i clean installed windows 8. now i had to purchase a SATA to IDE/ IDE to SATA converter for my old optical since the optical is one from my old pc. I am very unfamiliar with uefi bios and really need my optical since the mobo drivers are on a dvd #@%#! I have gone into the registry and edited the class for my dvd/cd rom by removing the upper class hoping it would find it with no avail. any suggestions
