Found this APU for $120. I was wondering if it would run DayZ on medium/ low settings. I wouldn't get a GPU with it.. I'd just use the integrated Graphics on the APU. Would it run DayZ Standalone/Arma?? (Low/med. settings) OR should I buy a CPU with a dedicated GPU? Thanks!

Dedicated Graphic Cards are usually better performers that Integrated graphics. I would recommend a stand alone card. You can get something pretty cheap to play DayZ at medium.

Get 'Fm2 plus' socket motherboard & 4gb x 2 ddr3 1600mhz(atleast) ram, then u will game in mid-low settings much longer than just "DayZ"...

The APU would play DayZ and medium.

That line about integrated graphics is true, but on the AMD side of the bottom end, you do get pretty good graphics.

Of course discrete would server you better, but you'll actually need to spend a minimum of $60-80 to better the built in chip by any decent margin.

But since I'm not going to be multitasking couldn't I get 4GB rather than 8GB

You could, but to be frank it will be a much bigger limitation to your gaming performance.

4GB on a gaming machine is terribly little. 6GB maybe. Remember 2 of that will be used by Windows and background apps, and most new games will want 4Gb for themselves minimum. DayZ and ArmA 2 + 3 included.

If you are using integrated, I would get 8GB, that will perform best for you.
