Help me find a good graphics card for 250$!

So I have a budget of around 250$ and I want the best bang for your buck. I have been thinking about getting a Radeon R9 270X as I am currently using a garbage NVIDA GeForce GT610. Here are my computer specs, I also think I need to upgrade my PSU so give me some suggestions if you can.

*Graphics card- NVIDA GeForce GT610
*CaseThermaltake Commander Mid-Tower Gaming
Case
*PSU-500 W
*HDD- 1TB
*Processor- AMD FX(TM)-8100 Eight-Core processor
2.80GHz
*Ram- 8GB
*64 bit operating system

You probably won't need to upgrade the PSU, 500 watt should be fine. This is a Killer card, measure the room in your case and see if this will fit.

Geforce GTX 660 Ti (hard to find now though). Geforce GTX 760 is excellent. R9 270X isn't bad. You may need to upgrade your PSU too. Mention the model of the PSU to let the experts determine.

for $250 the GTX 760 is probably the best bang for your buck. Your PSU should run it IF it's a good PSU. If it's a crappy knockoff with a 18A rail then you may be in trouble.

I don't really know how to find out my PSU so I got this from the specs on the pc listed on walmart where I bought it from.
Power Supply 500 Watt - AC 120/230 V ( 50/60 Hz)
