Hey Tom's,

My GeForce logo on my EVGA SC 780Ti won't light up, and I haven't heard of anyone else who's had this problem.

Also, when I installed a game it didn't let me play because it said I had 0 VRAM..

I have no internet access and therefore no drivers installed for my hardware, could this be the cause?

Solution

Yes, enable XMP which auto-applies the optimal profile for your DDR3 memory and then SAVE.

After that, run MEMTEST. www.memtest.org (may need to change BIOS boot order so DVD or USB is first before the boot drive).

The drivers for your card are from www.nvidia.com (if in doubt, run the auto-detect utility to find the correct drivers but it's pretty straight forward).

Don't use the driver disk unless you can't get network access because you want the latest drivers anyway which you would download.

Why don't you have a network connection?

Lol yeah Idk why I didn't think of that. I will try that tomorrow.

One more thing when I played solitaire it got really laggy after the computer had been on for 25~ minutes. Is this because of the drivers as well?

Yeah I'm a noob xD.

1 more noob question. Any changes I should make in the BIOS? Like I've heard people say to enable XMP, and my RAM is running at 1600Mhz when it's meant for 1866Mhz.

(if it's an issue with setting up wi-fi, then maybe just temporarily use the wired connection as that is easier to setup.)

There should be drivers that come on a DVD with your GPU, they will be adequate until you have internet access.

Yes I plugged in the 8-pin and 6-pin, filling up all the available power connections.

I was under the impression it would light up as soon as it powered on as well, which is why I'm a bit worried. I'm about to install my drivers then I'll tell you what happens.

So I just installed the drivers for everything but it still didn't light up.

I'll update them once I get internet, but I feel like that,a not gonna work, I'll probably end up calling EVGA.
