Missing files in Windows8.1?

Hey,

I have windows 8.1 since its released. But now i have weird characters. People say its because there are files missing but i have no idea which files it are. Can someone help me out?

Do you have Automatic Updates on, and all the updates applied?

photonboy, Yes. i have Automatic Updates on and my system is fully updated.

any more solutions?

Your screen shots showed German language. The link I posted showed these problems happen with language pack installs.

Uninstall the german language pack and see if the symbols disappear.

I tried uninstalling the language pack aswell. Didn't work. Also, its not German but Dutch.

Any more solutions?

Sorry - close but not 100%. Did you try uninstalling via Control Panel Uninstall Programs? Or how?

And other than the funny symbols are there any other problems?

No, i uninstalled it via the PC Settings Time and Language.
I haven't noticed any other problems yet. Just this, and its pretty annoying.
Isn't there a link to this symbol/font to just download it?
