Pretty straightforward, I believe... Is an SSD worth the extra money? Is the boot speed really so much better?

Although SSD will not add e.g. any fraps in games, SSD is definitely one of the best upgrade you can get.
With an SSD, your PC/laptop will react a lot faster to your clicks.
Not only booting.
Programs will open up faster, games load faster, etc.
I can not imagine my rig without an SSD in it anymore :)

SSDs saved my life! Well, not really, but you know what I mean.

I purchased myself a 240GB SSD last year when I used to play FSX. It needed one because it never loaded textures to the RAM while loading up, it would always retrieve them from the SSD as it went.

But nowadays I play different games that aren't as terrible as that, but still the load times reduce personal stress lol.
