Elite team Is not a particular good brand of memory anyway.
The quality or Ram chips on a memory stick can vary.

Now if a ram stick fails.
Then the motherboard should pick that up, and report it as an error in most cases, halting the boot of the system.

Why you don`t mix brands of ram is simple, to keep the speed and timing setings of the ram chips all the same an equal, as well as the voltage used to drive the ram on the stick.

If you pull both sticks of ram out and look at the rated speed and timings they should match, along with the voltage of each stick.

If the Elite team requires more voltage and the corsair is less then it may be the problem.

In such a case just fit the Elite team memory to the board into a memory slot and...

In such a case just fit the Elite team memory to the board into a memory slot and test to see if it works.
You should test the stick in each of the provided memory slots of the board.
To rule out a faulty Dimm memory socket.
If you fail to get a result or system boot, bios error message then it has failed.

If it does work, then it means based on the speed and timings of the Elite team memory module vs the Corsair. you need to manual set the highest latency values stated on the memory in the bios, along with the speed of the memory and voltage.

The Elite team module should be placed in first when doing this into the first memory slot, and the corsair after the changes made in the bios into the second slot. Making sure it is in the right one for dual channel mode operation as stated by the manual of the motherboard.

But as a rule cheaper not well known memory does not last as long as branded memory modules such as corsair. As said there are diffident quality of ram chips used with the memory modules.
