Hello,

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3whWn Here is the current parts list that i am buying right now for new pc.

As for GPU part thinking of getting r9 295x2. Gonna be gaming on one single 24 inch monitor. Now i know that this is an overkill system, i am never going to be overclocking it too. I just want a solid parts of metal that will last a good 3-4 years. AS you can see money is not an issue, oh and also not planing to watercool it. Main reason behind building such system, since i almost never switch off the pc. So i can remote access it anytime. What you think?

$4000 is more than overkill.

2 x 295s get you into 4K territory. See http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-r9-295x2-crossfire-performance,3808.html

4K monitors are expensive - http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=558_1631

You've got a 1080p monitor. Doesn't make sense - the pc should match the monitor. Maybe if you were using 3 x 1080p monitors.

And why use a 3970X when a 4930k is just as good?

When I see a proposed build like this I think ' tell him he's dreaming'.

If you were going to do high end 4K video editing then I might think your build makes sense. But you don't have enough storage for that.

For gaming its more than overkill. Get real.

I understand that this is an overkill. I wont be doing any video editing thats for sure. And gaming on 1 monitor is enough for me. My main purpose is to build a system that lasts long enough. My previous build served me 6years, AC4 runs on medium settings lol and Google chrome takes 30-40 seconds to open.

I wouldn't necessarily say it's over kill but for the money you're putting in you could get better results with a few changes.

- I would go bigger on the LCD. 23" is pretty small especially if you can afford bigger.

- I'm not sure why you have two SSDs on there but it seems a bit over kill. You can't use SSD caching on a SSD so I wouldn't bother.

- Windows 8.1 is a definite requirement. Windows 8 is designed for surface and other touch devices, and Windows 8.1 was made to bridge the gap / provide better PC usage.

- With liquid cooling you probably wont need 8 fans but if heat is a big concern you could replace the 77 CFM fans on the liquid cooler with something higher (I use 110 CFM fans on my H100) The added airflow should be more than enough to provide for a video card (I'm not saying use no fans but 8 seems too much) Though I guess at $12.25 a pop it doesn't hurt to have the spare ones if you need better results.
-- Side note, I see in your original post that you're not going to liquid cool but your CPU cooler is liquid. It is a sealed kit though and definitely worth it. I use a h100 myself and have never had any problems

- 32GB of ram is big time overkill with an SSD

- Lastly, if your main reason is remote access (to files) this is HUGE overkill. You may be better off simply going for NAT (Network Attached Storage) and a supporting router.

Keep in mind that your SSDs will be choked on remote access and serve no purpose if you have a poor upload speed or conjested network.

Also, don't forget some Arctic Silver thermal compound. It's pretty cheap and well worth it.
