How to power GeForce GTX 780 Ti

So I'm going to be putting a factory superclocked EVGA GeForce GTX 780ti (manufacturer's product page here). This card has both a 6-pin and an 8-pin power connection, and I was wondering, do these power connections need to be connected to separate PCI connections on my PSU?

I ask because the PCI cables that come with my PSU (XFX PRO 750w Black Edition, Fully Modular, Single Rail, find it on Amazon.com here) each have an 8-pin connection into the PSU and, on the other end, two 6+2 PCI connections. So basically, can I use one cable to power both of the connections on the card without having to look into quality fire extinguishers?

Thanks!

Should be fine with one cable as it is a single rail PSU. If it had 2 12v rails you may have needed to use 2 cables to split the load between each 12v rail. That is more of an issue with multiple graphics card systems that draw a lot of power

Oh, I'm not concerned about the quality of the PSU, or whether it can meet the power requirements for the card. My concern is whether I can use just one PCI power cable to power the card without setting things on fire, or if I need to use two PCI power cables.
