I also have an intel core 2 duo cpu if this helps.

if your connectors are 240pin DIMM then read on :)

ddr2 are very outdated, most Ram sold to date are DDR3, not saying you cant buy DDR2 here are a the best DDR2 from some big brands. ps I would think about updating your mobo in the near future.

OCZ is a good brand it might be hard to find but worth it. has a CAS rating of 5. 240pin DIMM and a speed 1066MHz (quickest you can find
code name ir: OCZ2RPR10664GK

or to buy right now http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0011G49CW/?tag=pcpapi-20

and a much more expensive Kingston version. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001EYTNYU/?tag=pcpapi-20

hope this helps

it's hard because they have to be compatible to be used together. you can find 8GB as (2x4GB) slots this link is to the best manufacturer of 200pin RAM Modules but all these modules will come at a premium since they are so out of date. I have put up 2 links the first with the best 4GB (2x2GB) RAM modules and a 8GB (2x4GB) RAM modules

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001320W3Y/?tag=pcpapi-20

and the 8GB

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0027J3DAQ/?tag=pcpapi-20 it's £108! I hope you go with the the 4GB RAM or realy think about upgrading to a new mobo/new pc build and just save up for that would be my oppinion good luck
