Im getting a very fluctuacting fps, I tried playing it on max and I get around 30-55 fps and on low and I get 40-60 fps.
It's very playable on low, but it's extremely hurtful to look at and I simply refuse to play it like that when I should be able to play it at least at a PS3 graphics level (which is not much btw)
here is my MSI afterburner http://imgur.com/pUx4sB2
My drivers are updated.
Temps are 50-51c on load, same for CPU.
Resolution:I tried all, didn't change a little.
Now you might say it's a bottleneck but this fellow (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12dvKAh1kmk)
playing with a GTX 650 and E8500 which is a cpu pretty close to mine is getting steady fps.
I should too.

also i wouldnt o/c the gpu.! your cpu has a hard time keeping up with it, overclocking the gpu will only make things worse. if all these fail, then upgrading is the only way. anyway, try also other games, cpu o/c may have diffenent impact on other titles!
8500 is stronger not due to higher mhz but due to double the cache size (6mb instead of 3mb) and wider fsb 1333mhz instead of 1066mhz. with higher fsb also makes better use of memory controller.still e8500 would also bottleneck your gpu. if you want to minimize these fps flactuations you should try overclocking. that depents really on you mobo chipset and your psu.if you thing your hardware is up to the task, this is what you should study.!

mind your temps.! since (i suppose) you dont have an aftermarket cooler.! even 2-3 fps increase on minimum is an improvement. dont expect wonders. also mesh a bit with the graphics settings cause some affect greatly cpu performance. tweaking will improve your gaming experience.also multiplayer is another thing, it is extremely taxing on any cpu.!

im not familiar with sound columns!:??: audio is delt by the cpu so i wouldnt try any 3d - suround or any other that could be more taxing cause your cpu is very sensitive to any changes.also you said you have 667mhz memory.make sure the ram sticks are running on their rated speed.your mobo also supports 800mhz! i cant think of anything else that could lead in better performance!

you are welcome.!also, i wouldnt use any anti - aliasing method as it is really taxing.it will have a negative impact on heavy scenes and already flactuating fps!

I am aware of that but surprisingly no AA or max AA makes no difference in the fps, what does though is Shadow setting, which clearly points to a CPU bottleneck, although I managed to overclock it to 3.4 (not stock cooler)
