Is higher speed ram worth it?

With your rig, would look at a minimum of 1866/9 or 2133/9...if simply for gaming then can go entry level 1600/0 as DRAM in gaming is nothing more than a conduit for the data stream, the faster DRAM may net you an extra 2-5 FPS....however, if you really use the rig for things like multi-tasking, video/imaging work/rendering, use large data sets, do CAD, run VMs, etc then the faster sticks will really shine.....you don't list a budget or how much you are interested in, but would look at the GSkill Snipers in 1866 or 2133 (CL9) or if budget permits step up to the Gskill Tridents in 1866/8 or 2133/9 either in a 2x4GB set for 8GB total or 2x8GB for 16GB total, those are the best lines of sticks I've found on my Hero (in sig)

Ya, I'm pretty much just a gamer, so 1600 should do fine. However,I do like being able to multitask fast so Idk... I was looking at the corsair vengeance line. Are they any good?

Ya, they look pretty good. I think I'll get them. Though, I wanted red:D. Should I get 16GB, or will 8 be enough?

Ya I was thinking eventually, most likely. Is that a good idea or do you think that by the time I would need to SLI, that I would need to build a new rig anyways, lol. Don't know if its a good idea or not? What's your opinion?

Depends on the individual, if you plan to keep it a few years then you're fine, plenty of power for anything you might add, or if you do plan to build a new rig in 2-3 years, then can probably just move the PSU to the new rig.. For 780 TIs in SLI a good 850 or so will suffice and save you a few bucks
