Hey,
I got my brand new ssd Samsung 840 Evo 120gb and installed it on my second hand asus z68 pro.
I read somewhere that BLCK should be set at default value of 100 or it may cause the ssd serious problems. Is that true?
So I checked the value and it was 103 . My ssd is working fine for about 12 hours now. should I change the oc settings in my mobo ?

Default is 100, and yes, you should change it to 100. Putting it over 100 overclocks multiple components as...

Sorry, there are many bad sector in my memory caused by weed but, hes said "SSDs aren't used to changing base system clock on mobo. if you want an over clock for cpu, change the multiplyer"

OK, I'll test the software, any other particular thing that I should do?

Adjusting your BCLK in BIOS over 100 is a BAD IDEA. It overclocks, and sends slightly more voltage, to multiple components on your system... Hard Drives, GPU, SSD, etc.

Don't do it.

You are not going to notice any performance gains worth talking about by overclocking the BCLK. If anything, you may shortern the lifespan of some of your components.

I may have chosen my words badly in the first question, but you answered it very well
I meant to ask, is the default value of BLCK set to 100 in every motherboard? Because mine is set to 103 and it was done by the previous owner (not me!)
Should I set it back to 100?

Default is 100, and yes, you should change it to 100. Putting it over 100 overclocks multiple components as aforementioned.

If you have a "restore fail-safe default settings" or "restore factory default" option in your BIOS, it would more than likely restore the BCLK to 100.
