my system is unable to install windows 7 due to unallocated space(total hard disk during booting)...but windows xp is installed fine.....windows 7 nd 8 are not installed...!! pllllllzzzzz help me!!

How did you set SATA, as IDE or ACHI or RAID in BIOS ? Generally we set SATA as IDE or AHCI in BIOS.

OR, you can try this method also :

Unplug all other HD's and peripherals, Boot into BIOS setup to see if there is an EFI Boot Disk in BIOS Boot order. If so remove it, set DVD drive first to boot. If EFI BIOS also set to Legacy BIOS.

Then boot into installer DVD or USB stick, at first screen Press Shift + F10 to open a Command Box, type:

DISKPART
LIST DISK
SEL DIS 0 (after confirming...

1 TB... 4 gb RAM ...i3 processor... i tried to install 64 bit version of windows 7...

it is new hard drive...while installing windows 7 it shows DISK 0 UNALLOCATED SPACE and installation acnnot be done in this hard drive... :chaudar:

CONVERT MBR
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY SIZE=102400 or any size you like
FORMAT FS=NTFS LABEL="WINDOWS 7"
ACTIVE
EXIT

Next click Install Now to Clean Install Windows 7 to partition you created. If it fails then report back at which step and the verbatim error message.
