AMD r9 295x GPU

Hey,

I'm into the lines of buying the R9 295X2 GPU but I was just into looking at other opinions on behalf of my power supply. I currently own the Corsair GS800 V2 which is handling a FX-8350 @ 5.2GHz ~ 1.55V as well as 4 HDD's and 2 SSD's. Other than that, two Corsair Vengeance 4GBx2 sticks... Will this PSU handle that card?

Well the truth is that such power supplies can give some extra wattage,however the efficiency of the psu would drop significantly.
Here is the review that i found : http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Corsair-GS800-Power-Supply-Review/1103/8 (page 8) It actually reached 997 maximum watts .!

Don't buy it. GET 2 780Ti. They are cheaper. And the performance is same if not better. And 800 watt is the minimun reqs for the R9 295x2 I believe.

That's its peak power, on which the power supply shuts down due to overload. It is not meant to be used for more than a few minutes at that power or it'll be damaged(in the best case).

Please don't comment on things you don't know fully about.
