In my PC, I have a ASUS GeForce GTX 770, which has HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI-I and DVI-D outputs, but I'm soon updating to a 780 or a 780 Ti, which both have the same ports.

I'm currently viewing from a rather old (but still 1080p) 24" TV screen (not a computer monitor). So, I would like to set up a 3-monitor display.

My question is, which outputs would I need to use (and which cables would I need to purchase) to produce a 3-monitor display? IE: 1 DisplayPort, 1 HDMI, 1 DVI, or..?

Also, can anyone recommend a good monitor that is able to accept those types of input without using an adapter? If not, could I have a monitor that's close to that and some adapters?

its all possible with adaptors, you can get DVI-D,I whatever to HDMI, VGA, DisplayPort. it will all convert with the right cables. Just see what you have and search X to Y adapter.
