how to replace "Bing" with Google as SE

To make Google as default search engine in Firefox: open Firefox and

1. Type the following into your address bar: about:config
2. Say you understand about the "voiding of the warranty"
3. Search for the string "keyword.URL" (now I'm trying to remember if that string already existed or not...if it doesn't show up for you, right-click and go to New, and then select String...name it "keyword.URL").
4. Set the value to: https://www.google.com/#safe=active&output=search&sclient=psy-ab&q=

For Internet Explorer: open IE > Tools > Manage add-ons > Search Provider > If Google is not listed, click on the "Find more search providers..." on the bottom of the window screen and click on Google Search and make it Default.
