Computer boots with black screen and cursor

I have recently been struggeling to find a fix for this problem and also relise that many people have the same. I have also tried many things.

System specs:
Motherboard: Asus Rampage IV Black Edition
Processor: INTEL CORE I7 3820 3.6GHZ 10MB S-2011
PSU: Corsair CX750M
Ram: Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz 8GB CL9
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda® 500GB
GPU: ZOTAC GeForce GTX 680 2GB AMP
Cooler: Corsair H60 Hydro Series CPU cooler

It could likely be due to a virus having altered system files. boot using your windows disc and do a system repair. If it doesn't find anything, you do a system restore, restoring it back to a previous date when it did work correctly. If all else fails, you could always reinstall your OS, but will lose all your data.
