I have an ASUS Z87 Pro motherboard installed in a Thor V2 case. The motherboard has one USB 3.0 port and the Thor case uses that port for front panel USB 3.0 ports. I now want to install an IDsonix USB 3.0 internal card reader (for Compact Flash, SD cards, etc. It also requires a USB 3.0 port on the motherboard. Is there a way to have multiple USB 3.0 ports on the motherboard or a "Y" connector or something? I can go back to USB 2.0, but it is so slow for 64 and 128 Gb flash cards and HD video that I really wanted to upgrade to USB 3.0. I could also go with an external USB 3.0 reader, but then the work area looks messy. Specifically wanted to know if there's a way to plug two USB 3.0 ports into an ASUS z87 Pro motherboard.

Thanks, I didn't think of an add-in board. That will work great.

Outstanding! I hadn't thought os an add-in board until SchizTech mentioned it, but this is even more useful. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks, that works for an external reader, but an internal reader needs the 20 pin internal connector. Two others pointed me to some great products, but thanks for the response.

You're welcome :)
