So yesterday, i decided i wanted to get some more juice out of my xfx 9800 gt graphics card, so i looked around on forums for the best ways to overclock it (programs/numbers i should be looking for). I saw that someone got theirs up to a max of 750mz Clock speed and 1062mz mem speed. So i decided not to go that high, but get close, like 720mz clock/1032mz mem. I used Furmark to test the stability and it held up every time, ran it like 6-7 times, but now when i'm playing not even graphic intense games (minecraft, LoL) the game and anything else freezes, but audio still plays. So i decided to turn it back down slowly back to default settings and it still does it.

Edit: My gpu temp under game load is around 60-67ÂșC, gpu load is under 50%, memory used it around +-400

You have fried your graphics card effectively. You're going to have to replace the gpu , but it sounds like it was defiantly time for it being how old it is. Every graphics card overclocls differently and with age they overclock worse and worse. When that GPU was new it may have been able to handle an overclock

Let me just get this straight... Fx-8350, 8GB of 1600MHz RAM, and a 9800GT!?!?!?! I apologize, this made me laugh.
