Please advise if this system I planned will function?

I am living in Romania and only speak a little Romanian and spent the day searching local components online and came up with this build. I built 2 computers in the USA, and quite a few years ago. I had to do a lot of research to catch up. I want to play games, but I am not hard core. HL2 is about my speed and HD movies. Also, I will wait to add a separate sound card and do with onboard for now. Trying to keep it at $1,000.

CPU- Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4 GHz Socket 1150
MoBo- Asus Z87-A Socket 1150
RAM - Corsair Dominator Platinum 2x4GB DDR3 2400Mhz CL1
Vid Card - Sparkle GeForce GTX650 OC 1GB DDR5 128Bit
HD -HDD Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM SATA3
PSU - NOX NX Series 620W

I have not selected a case. The vid card has dimensions 162 x 111 x 38mm. I couldn't figure out how to select a case. Couldn't find the info needed to match mobo to case. Also, I can't tell if the cpu comes with a heat sink and if I should add a fan. On the page at the online store for the cpu, it says "cooler - yes" in the specs. Here is the link to the one I chose.
http://www.cel.ro/cauta/i5-4670/1/1

I looked at CPU fans and they seem to be tailored to the CPU and I did not find one that was listed with the 1150 socket as a spec. Thank you so much!

if you have more to spend then there are only 2 places to spend it really, the power supply and GPU. For an extra $100 you can get the gtx 760 and for $200 you can get the gtx 770. The gtx 770 can play almost any game at max settings with some AA at 60 fps. For either the gtx 760 or gtx 770 you would want at minimum a 550w power supply (good quality, needs to have around 45 amps on the 12v rail of the power supply).

So I would go with the gtx 770, a 650w or 750w power supply, you can go for the 16gb ram if you want and thats really it.

Edit: you could also go for a higher end motherboard, like a Asus Maximus IV hero but the Asus Z87-A is pretty good. Another thing is that there should be new intel cpus coming out in a few weeks, if...
Is this for gaming? Honestly while you would have a fast gaming processor, the GTX650 is not that fast of a card. I would spend less on a CPU and more on a card tbh for balance. The i5 would be better to upgrade in the future.

Still, the 650 is not a quick card.

To answer your questions:

When selecting a case, you should just look at the compatibility with your motherboard form factor. The motherboard that you indicated is ATX, so the case sizes that you'd be looking at is probably Mid-Tower or larger. Any case that can fit an ATX motherboard you should not have to worry about your GPU being too large.

yes, an i5 4670K boxed processor does come with a stock heatsink and fan. If you wanted to look for an aftermarket cooler, you would want to buy a heatsink that can be seated on a LGA 1150 socket, and the fan would be seated separately on the heatsink - there are no socket specs for CPU fans specifically.

Lastly, the GTX 650 is, as said above, rather weak in comparison to the rest of this build. You should at least get a 760.

Your RAM is probably too expensive. Stick to 2x4gb 1600 mhz CL 9 ram rated for 1.5v (the intel cpus require 1.5v ram). Also, I have never heard of NOX power supplies, that probably means that it is not good. Try to stick with Corsair, Seasonic, XFX, or Antec (may not find XFX in Romania).

This one is good (not sure what the price is though): http://www.cel.ro/surse/sursa-modulara-sesonic-m12ii-bronze-evo-edition-620w-l/

For the case here are some options:

Taking all your good advice about the graphics card, I changed the choice to
Gainward GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB DDR5 128Bit. How's that?

And changing memory...is there a difference between the ranges of mHZ of the RAM? Does 2400 perform significantly better than 1600? The mobo accepts a wide range mHZ. What about
Corsair Vengeance Pro Red Kit 8GB 2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz
or
Kingston HyperX Fury Red 8GB Kit 2x4GB DDR3 1600 MHz

For the ram, you also have to look at the CAS Latency or CL. The 2400mhz at CL 11 will perform about the same as 1866 mhz at CL9. You wouldn't notice the difference between any of them though since the difference is in milliseconds. Either of those you posted should be fine but the website you gave didnt post the voltage rating so I am not sure if they are 1.5v ram

I believe these are 1.5v numinator. I can always add more later, but starting out with 8 gigs will have to do. I am running on 3 now on my 8 year old Lenovo desktop, which has been a real workhorse, but just too slow now

I found a good computer components store here in my town and had a meeting with the guy and he can get me all these parts at about the same price. He made these suggestions for changes.
PSU CORSAIR CX500
Asus Z87 C Mobo
SSd drive for the OS. This is new to me. It will add about $100 to the price. Is it worth it?
Thanks!

I am not a huge fan of the Corsair CX series but it should be much better than the previous PSU, Asus makes really good quality motherboards, and the SSD is always a nice addition if you can afford it. But for the power supply I would try to get at least 550w that way you have some headroom for the power supply as it ages (PSUs tend to degrade as they get older, also to make it last longest you want it loaded at about 80% capacity or less, not too low though).

The SSD would basically speed up your computer boot up times and any applications you put on it would load faster (like internet browser). If you put games on it, the loading screens would go faster but it would have no effect on the FPS or graphics performance.

for the motherboards, the major difference between the z87-a and the -c/-k versions is that the Asus z87-a has a 8 phase VRM whereas the -c/-k versions have a 4 phase VRM. Basically this means that the z87-A motherboard is better for overclocking so if you plan to overclock your CPU then you should stick with the z87-A, if you dont plan to overclock then you could actually save like $30 by going with a H87 motherboard which supports the CPU but not overclocking.

Hi guys, this is taking some time..things move slowly here. Here is the system I settled on, working with the supplier. It comes to $1,100, the original budget. I just now discovered I can spend about $5-600 more. So how would I best be able to upgrade this, with the aim of, 1 - better gaming, and 2 - durability of equipment and technology? 16 gigs of RAM for sure, but what else? 750 watt PSU? Sound card?

CPU- Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4 GHz Socket 1150
SSD Drive for OS - forgot brand
MoBo- Asus Z87-A Socket 1150
RAM - Corsair Vengeance Pro Red Kit 2x4GB DDR3 1600Mhz
Vid Card - Gainward GeForce GTX750 TI 2GB DDR5 128 Bit
HD - HDD Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM SATA3
PSU - Corsair CX 500

Thanks so much numinator and everyone. I am going to follow the advice to up to the gtx 770, a 750 PSU and 16 gigs of ram. Off now to change the order. I should have it in a week and I will update as I finish the build. I am going with Win 7 64 bit Ultimate as the OS. I just can't take the time to master any of the Linux and my job requires Windows.

I finally have my system together and I am so SO pleased! I had not a single problem from the moment I turned it on and loaded drivers and OS. Thanks to all who helped me build my new computer. Going to start with Wolfenstein: The New Order.

I ended up with:
Mobo- Z87-A Asus, socket 1150
Intel Quad Core i5-4670 3.4 GhZ
Kingston SSD 120 GB for the OS
Seagate HDD - 1 Terabyte - 7200 RPM
Gainward GeForce GTX750 TI
Creative SB Z
DeepCool ATX Mid Tower-Tesseract
Corsair CX 750 PSU, and Corsair DDR# Vengeance Pro, 16 gigs, 2133 MhZ.
