What PSU do you have and what kind of PC? Prebuilt or Custom? if its prebuilt it might not have a powerful enough powersupply and you will need to buy a new one.

other wise it should be a 8 pin (2x4 or it might be a 2x3 with an extra 1x2 that you slide on it to it to make the 2x4

If you have a proper PSU then the connector should look either like this

or like this

Its corsair 540 with fractal design r2 759w I bought it in parts and literally stuck on this the last thing im confused because it came with 2 8 pin connected to four white connections with 3 large pins in each but this psu only came with 2 3 large pin connecters to fit so theres 2 short or do I use the pci e connectors ?

Just find the two cables with the PCI-E label on the plug (they should be connected). If your PSU does not have these cables, then that probably means it is too cheap. Snap on the extra 2 pins onto the 6-pin and plug the whole shebang in.

Ah they gave you the adapters. Those arent really reccommend. Also your 750 watt should have 4 PCIe 6+2 pin connectors.
