I have a full system backup (full disk image) for my Acer Aspire S3 with SSD. This backup consists of about 10 4Gb files on an external hard drive plus I created a boot disk on a USB drive. The eRecovery from by boot disk only gives the option to restore to factory default. How can I launch a restore to my full system backup?

Solution
1) You may have better luck at the ACER forums and search for this exact issue, or just contact Acer Technical Support (If not under Warranty you likely can't contact them).

2) If you don't need to RESTORE yet and are just asking, maybe you should look into something different such as Acronis True Image which I believe can create a bootable USB drive to restore files it created on HDD.

3) IMAGE?
What did you actually use to create the backup Image? Was it an Acer program, or Windows Backup?

Unfortunately the boot from the USB drive takes me to the Acer eRecovery which has no option to nominate system backup files. It seems this full system backup process has been designed for burning a set of DVD's to restore from. This ultrabook has no optical drive which is why I created the system backup onto the external hard drive. I expect that there is some simple trick, such as copying the last smaller system backup file to the USB and/or adding a command on the booy USB. Any other suggestion?
