Well I'm building a gaming PC and I've seen this new graphics card by Sapphire and I'd appreciate if someone could tell me if it's a good choice or not: http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?cid=1...
Alternatives are accepted too and, it may not be the correct section, but I'd like to ask if the Asrock Z87 Pro 4 is a good choice for the I7 4770K. Thanks.
EDIT: Any pros and cons versus http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/R9280XDC2T3GD5/ ? Which one would you choose?

Yeah that is a great card.

ASRock motherboards are very reliable to my experience and would be a great choice for an i7-4770k.

Yep, the Sapphire R9 280X Vapor-X http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IPZW686 is an excellent choice.

I'm currently running the ASUS R9 280X DCUII but the Sapphire Vapor-X is a good card also. ASUS is always my preference. =)

So in terms of performance, noise and heating would you choose the Sapphire or the ASUS you mentioned? :http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/R9280XDC2T3GD5/
It has two fans instead of the three but the base performance and overclock performance is higher.. Thanks.

If you plan to Crossfire and have a mid tower maybe the Shappires will give better spacing between cards. I have on ASUS DCII paired with a Sapphire and I still wonder if a second DCII would fit there...

The ASUS DCUII is quieter but a large cooler so you need some added space but you can't go wrong either way, both are excellent cards.

More fans doesn't always mean better cooling. Asus's cooling design is very simple and it works. 2 fans instead of 3 also means less noise. Maybe you should go with the Asus.

Thanks for your answers, the tower is an NZXT Phantom 410 so in terms of space it shouldn't be a problem. So better go with the Asus? I mean it is also 20 euros cheaper.. In terms of support and previous experience what would you say and which are the artifact issues mentioned? Not planning to crossfire at the moment though.. Tough decision..

Currently working on a build using the same case. ^^,

I would recommend Asus, i'v tried a few other cooler brands lately and i'd have to say that Asus's is the one i'm most satesfied with when it commes to permance to noise ratio. :)

Personally I have no complaints on ASUS (and have always been an ASUS fan). If you consult ASUS ROG forum you´ll see many people complaining about artifacts with the DCII Top (http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?43057-R9-280x-...!!&country=&status=). Some of these guys have also messed with VRAM voltage or OC´ed the card (not my case) and others report to the Matrix version of the 280X.

In the Sapphire side, maybe after consulting the forums you´ll find some complainings regarding their cards as well :p

Long story short: go for ASUS and if you experience any issues go back to the store and change it for another maker.

I think I'll go for the ASUS then, seen lots of great comments about the card despite those sort of issues. Thanks!

Any changes suggested?
