Sabertooth 990fx R2.0 Mic freezes

The only thing I have changed recently is that ive replaced my motherboard with a Sabertooth 990FX R2.0. Now ive noticed that any program that uses my mic will randomly freeze when I click push to talk. Sometimes its a full system freeze sometimes its just the program using the mic that freezes but its usually a 10-15 second freeze.

FX-8350
ASUS GTX 660
Logitech generic desktop mic
Windows 8.1

How old is your mic? sometimes when drivers are not officially supported by windows 8 or 8.1 that can cause hiccups and problems like you described. If the mic is over like 3 or 4 years old logitech most likely doesn't care about adding driver support for your mic because the company already made their money on that product. I know most mics are plug and play but that still is most likely the issue if the mic is old

It was actually in 2 different programs. It happens quite often in Titanfall leading to just the program freezing. I tab out and check on other stuff when it happens because nothing I do can restore it any faster. It just happened today on ventrilo leading to a good 30 seconds of a total system freeze, and when it started working again everything that was said all came in at once.
