I previously took out the sticks of Ram from my computer because i needed to power up an old computer which had some files on there that I wanted to grab. Well, I took the Ram out, and after about a half hour I re-installed the same Ram to the computer I took it out from. Other than hearing maybe some moving parts crinckle at the instent I installed the ram, i did not hear nor feel any static electricity between the computer components or my hand. So I made sure that everything was plugged in and turned the PC on. The computer did not make any beeping noises upon the booting process, but the fans ran and kept running at what sounded like their full rate. The Computer never got past the black screen nor did the screen change at all. I need help as to how a possible static discharge done to the computer can be checked and other possible suggestions about fixing this. Thinking the solution would help, i actually bought 2gb of working ram sticks for the computer, each displaying they are: 512mb samsung PC2-4200u low density Non-ECC 533Mhz DDR2

Assuming the RAM works in the other PC, you probably pulled something loose somewhere. While grounded, and with the PC unplugged, check all the connections. Are all cables seated? Are all expansion cards seated?
