i have a phenom 1100t @3.9ghz a gtx 670 and FINALLY got a ssd!! whoo! supa fast! vs the wd black... anyway should i milk this rig a little longer? should this cpu do well with the 8xx series gpus if i decide to wait a little while? or should i just go for a 4570 i5 and a r9 270 or sli 760s or 770s? i was thinking a fx 6300 but its not really that much faster than my phenom. i like the i5 being at 80 something watts and still being a little better vs 110 or whatever the fx8350 is.

Solution
I would upgrade your cpu . That CPU would bottleneck a 780 ti so it will the 800 series. The 1100t was the last good gaming CPU amd made imo

ok. yeah i love my phenom :) been a real beast. i kinda wanna build one while i have the money.. but i can only use one pc at a time... but then again i would have enough time to get money up for a 8xx series card if i get the 4570 now.. im looking at a asus z87 lga for 139$ is this board any good?

As for GPU I'd suggest staying away from AMD there too, I own a 270X and for the price... the thing is absolute shit. I stripped my rig to check if I could overclock it enough without any power constraints but after trying it just isn't worth it. I know someone who bought a 660 (not Ti) in January this year and it sadly it can out power my 270X. Unlike the Titan Vs 290X synthetics; the 290X wins despite being synthetically inferior, the synthetics of the AMD cards this gen tend to overshoot the practice performance. It doesn't help they don't perform too well compared to their original builds when comparing price (remember this generation is the same as the last one which was OEM repackage of the one before it, ie the Radeon 7000 series).
