I recently got a new Asus laptop. I also bought a belkin DB N600 router. When I connected my router to my modem the laptop worked fine. Wirelessly. Now I needed to also have my desktop PC connected to the internet so what I did was connect the desktop PC to the LAN ports with the network cable that normally ran to the modem, while having the router connected to the modem. Now the desktop connects to the internet, but the laptop does not. It says not connecting to proxy server or something along those lines. What can I do? I've gone into network settings and LAN options but nothing works.My phone and my kids Xbox still connect to the router no problem. Please help! Thanks.
