I have this dell optiplex 745 desktop computer that I use as a gaming computer. I realized that with this card that I have, I may have the best card that this computer can use, forcing me to have to get a new computer in a couple of years at most. Can anyone tell me for sure if this is the best card for it, and if not, which one is better. Thank you. It has to be low profile, consume under like 70 watts, and draw power entirely from the PCI slot.

For low profile you would be looking at a 240 gt 640 or the 7750, the 7750 is the best video card for a low profile system

Do you by chance know how long this will hold me over before having to get a new computer? It is paired with a Core 2 Duo e6600 2.4ghz, and 4gb ddr2 ram. This machine can handle skyrim on medium to high settings. 40fps on high at 1080p, 60fps on high at 720p, and 60fps on medium at 1080p.

Probably a good year until i would recommend an upgrade. My friend had a system like that, it satisfied them until 2 gens after they upgraded

So I should start saving now for a new computer?

As long as you don't have anything else going on that would prevent you from saving up the money. I would say 600-700 dollars is a good amount to set your goal to. Just use that time from now until your build to figure out your needs, and what parts that you want.
