I am going to be building a new PC around the LGA1150 platform and considering I haven't done an Intel build for over 10 years I could use some help.

What I will be using it for is browsing, email, light gaming and mostly audio editing and processing.

Here are the components I have chosen so far from the egg:

Intel Intel Xeon E3-1230V3
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) Timing 7-8-8-24
SeaSonic SSR-650RM 650W 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply
Fractal Design Define R4 Black Pearl

Motherboard? Need help with this. I am partial to either ASUS or Gigabyte.

Components I have now and all are new:
HIS Radeon HD6870 Ice QX version
Intel 330 Series 240GB SSD
Western Digital WD VelociRaptor WD6000HLHX 600GB
Scythe Mugen 2 Rev. B

If any of the components I have now or the ones I picked to buy should be changed please advise as well as a good MB, Z87 I would assume.

The Sabertooth looks like a very nice MB as does the ASUS Z87-PRO (V EDITION). Would those be overkill considering I won't be overclocking?
I can afford either but was considering going for something around $150. If it comes to spending extra I will as I plan to keep this PC at least 5 years+.

Also will the HIS Radeon HD6870 Ice QX version hold be back or cause any bottlenecking?

I do not plan on going sli/crossfire. Most of the games I do play are simple ones like Zuma, Bejeweled, Peggle. Games like that.

I do occasionally play Final Fantasy 11 and The Secret World though.
