I am planning to purchase a new pc around 1 May 2014.
I want to spend no more than $3k.
I primarily use my pc for gaming (BF4, Planetside 2, D3, Civ 5, Fallout series, Tomb Raider series, etc.). I also use my computer for surfing the internet, and some MS office documents for work.
I already have two monitors, so I will not be purchasing any new monitors (Dell S2309W via DVI at 1920 x 1080 and a HL269DPB via DVI at 1920 x 1080).
I will be buying either Windows 8 64 or Windows 7 64.
I will be buying a completely new pc.
I am looking at buying a configured pc at www.cyberpowerpc.com.
I prefer Intel and NVidia because I have had a better experience with them in the past.
I like the idea of overclocking, but unsure if it is necessary.
I like the idea of SLI, but unsure if a single card would better suit my needs.
I want to upgrade because my current pc is simply old and unable to run the current FPS games at decent fraps or graphic settings. I bought my current pc about 4 years ago and upgraded the video card about a year and a half ago. Currently, the CPU is pegged at around 100% when I play any fps game on low settings. I would like to be able to play on high or ultra high settings on most games.
