Hello All
I have searched but cannot find an updated answer - I have stumbled upon a HP xw8200, with a fair amount of RAM and two Xeon 3.6 processors. it has a PCI-E slot, and I was thinking of buying a video card and maybe run some games on it. is it worth the trouble? if so, what card would you recommend?
Thanks!

The processor in those machines is a single core based on the Pentium IV core. It is 64 bit and you do have 2 of them so it *might* hold up in lighter games but it's going to be pretty slow compared to anything modern (the P IV was allot slower clock for clock than AMD's Athalon 64, which itself is pretty slow by modern standards).

If your going to put a graphics card in it- there's no point going for anything high...

Xeon processors (especially more than one) are much more suited to a CAD/Workstation environment, but they can be used for gaming. With a video card, you'll probably get average performance from the computer, but not that of a full gaming rig.

If your going to put a graphics card in it- there's no point going for anything high performance as it won't keep up. Something like a Radeon R7 250 might be ok if you fancy doing light duty games. Anything faster probably isn't worth it.
