Hello, yesterday ( sorry for my bad english ) i bought a samsung 840 evo ssd with windows 8.1.

I made the installation, everything went good but MY PC BOOT IN 25 SECONDES ?!

I made a video because I don't believe that... Before I had the ssd my pc boot in 50 secondes, but with ssd it's normally 10 or 15 seconds maximum no ?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=craPIbc2taI

Fast boot enabeld, performance settings using in magician samsung, but could you tell me what to change in the bios ? i'm not comfortable in the bios and don't want to break my computer.

thanks

If it ain't broken don't try to fix it..... that's the saying....
24Seconds is good booting time from ANY SSD into Windows......
I don't believe you'll loose your millions over a few seconds here or there....., as time goes by and Windows starts to clutter itself up, the booting time is going to increase , I wouldn't worry about that either..... Since every program that you add, remove or file that you save is going to add to registry clutter , residual fragments etc etc.... increasing the time to boot ....
Don't fool with the BIOS if you're not comfortable with it, it's already set to it's optimum I believe if you booted in 25 Secs....

Sorry to tell you but that's about right. The SSD only actually kicks in when Windows starts to load (about 13seconds into your video), everything before that is the motherboard POST (power on self test) time, which varies a lot between motherboards. From what I could see Windows is getting to the login screen within 10-12 seconds of it starting to load, which is pretty damn fast. That means the SSD is doing in 10 seconds what your previous HDD took about 35 seconds to do. Which is about right.

Does that really constitute a huge big huge problem on boot?

Yeah my motherboard isn't very good and i don't know how to install the latest version ( website asus doesn't work on my computer... doesn't know why. )

But on youtube I see people who windows loads in 5 seconds... they don't have the black screen between windows logo and the screen of connection like i have...
