Re-fit card into PC
If card uses extra Power Refit this also
Try another Plug type if your monitor supports that plug (VGA, HDMI..etc)

Hmm, a quick question- when you've plugged the new card in- have you tried to see if there is output on the integrated graphics port? It might be you need to change a setting in the bios to enable the graphics card...

I'd need to know some more details about your computer to help further (e.g. type of cpu and motherboard etc).

Test the card in another computer with a good enough power supply to run it. If it does not work there either, it's a dead card.

Well if you're pc works without the graphics card- you must plug your video cable into a port on the motherboard correct?

When you plug the gt 430 in you have to plug the video cable into a port on the graphics card itself as the motherboard graphics port will be disabled...

It sounds like the graphics card is dead in that case.
