Good deals besides Black Friday/Cyber Monday

I'm looking to build a computer for a friend who is not in a hurry for his PC to be built. I told him the longer he waits the better he'll get for his dollar spent. With that said, are there any other times in the year where PC hardware is on sale other than Black Friday/Cyber Monday? Thanks

Aside from Black Friday, where components are (sometimes) heavily marked down, they don't always have the exact components you're lookin for. Might not matter if you're not too picky about what goes into your rig (I am).

But throughout the year, you need to be looking. There have been some incredible deals at random times throughout this year. Granted, buying your parts one at a time and in large intervals kind of screws you over a bit if you happen to buy something that's DoA.

My advice is to just have him gather up a budget, and buy the system now.
