Hey guys, I mainly play Blizzard games, and occasionally Skyrim or Civilization. I am particularly upset at the fact that I have to limit my viewing distance for Skyrim & WoW, as it detracts from the "world" feeling.
Here are my current specs:
Motherboard - MSI P7N SLI-FI NFORCE 750I LGA 775
CPU - INTEL CORE 2 DUO 8400 3GHZ
GPU - MSI GTX650
RAM - 4 GB DDR2 PCI 6400
Memory - Kingston 120GB SSD & WD Black 1TB HDD 7200RPM
I'm 99% certain that my lack of performance is due to the CPU & RAM. I typically have WoW windowed, and have Chrome running in the background for my ADD tendencies. Also, I play 1920x1200 resolution.
I know I should upgrade to at least 8GB of RAM, but I'm not sure where to go with the motherboard or the processor. I've read that the AMD FX-6300 is a good choice, but again, I know that MMOs have different hardware 'preferences' so I'm not quite sure.
