I wanted to ask a few questions before i do anything.

I have the following configuration-

Gigabyte GA-H87N-WIFI- MOTHERBOARD
PATRIOT VIPER XTREME 8GB(1) DDR3 1600MHZ MEMMORY- RAM
EVGA GEFORCE GTX 760 2GB GDDR5 1006MGHZ- GRAPHIC CARD
Intel Core i5-4670K Quad-Core Processor -3.4GHZ 6MB L3 CACHE- PROCESSOR
SAMSUNG DRW-24B1ST 24X Internal DVD Burner- DVD BURNER
SEAGATE HDD 1TB 3.5" SATA 3 64MB CACHE- HARD DRIVE
Kingston SSDNow V300 120GB- SSD

I have windows 8- 64 bit installed on my SSD, and I installed all the drivers that came with the motherboard cd. Now my SSD is 40 gigs used with just motherboard drivers, OS install, and Nvidia graphic card driver. I wanted to know-

1. If I should uninstall all the drivers from install/uninstall programs app?
1.1- if I should uninstall all the drivers, which drivers should i get from the manufacturers website. It has bunch of them in each category, and i can't figure out which ones i need (for example- Atheros LAN driver, or Intel LAN driver- etc).

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4733&dl=1#driver

1.2 Can i also update the drivers through device manager update driver functionality?

My ultimate goal is to reduce space used on my SSD (40 gigs is a bit too much given that its just a fresh install, with all drivers installed)

2. Do i also need all of the BIOS utilities as well- like bluetooth, and WLAN driver, and WLAN

Many drivers on the motherboard install programs that are not necessary.

If you do not game you can use just the video driver without the ati or nvidia software, you dont need the lan utility, or the audio utility. They have more features to them but you dont NEED them.

Windows plus a few programs is going to be around 40 GB, uninstalling all of your extra dirver programs will probably only amount to at best 1GB.

Since you have a SSD, make sure you do not need to have a pagefile and have hibernation turned off. This will reduce disk space.
