Hey, I'm looking to upgrade from my current obsolete PC onto something more modern. I have a build ready that I think would suit my needs well, but I need feedback on it.

Approximate Purchase Date: In the next few months, as I need to save up for it. Some of the parts are affordable now though.

Budget Range: £250 - £330 was my plan and this was after shipping.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, watching videos in 720p and 1080p. Browsing the internet, especially sites like Tumblr.

Are you buying a monitor: No.

Parts to Upgrade: CPU, motherboard, RAM, storage, video card, case, optical drive, and case fan.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: aria.co.uk, cclonline.com, amazon.co.uk, Ebuyer.co.uk, scan.co.uk

Location: Hampshire, England.

Parts Preferences: No preferences, Intel or AMD is fine. As for individual component brands I would value reliability over performance.

Overclocking: No.

SLI or Crossfire: No.

Your Monitor Resolution: 1024x768.

Additional Comments: I'll be playing games such as...

-Garry's mod
-Minecraft
-Team fortress 2
-Terraria
-EVE online
-CS:S/CS:GO
-Left 4 Dead 2
-The elder scrolls V: Skyrim
-MMORPGs
-A bunch of older games like Half life, Red faction ect.
-Sandbox games in general.
-I'll be wanting to look at newer releases too, but nothing extremely demanding like star citizen, BF4, crisis 3 ect.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: My system is beyond upgrade right now. It's a dust filled pre-built, it's been good for the past 4 years but there's only so much you can get out of a 10 year old pentium 4 chip. XP support ran out so I switched to ubuntu, and OpenGL doesn't support my graphics card too well (GeForce 7200gs/7300se) in most games (all of them in the case of steam).

This is a list of parts I have compiled that I think reflect what I need very well, but first I want to check if there are any other alternatives to the parts I have chosen, in terms of saving money or performance. All prices were correct the time I compiled the component list.
