OK, I'm still using XP. That aside, here is some basic info which you will need to understand: The machine (EMACHINE) was a gift, XP was OEM. It worked fine when I got it, except that I could not, and still CANNOT enter safe mode. It did not have a set up disk.

Now, I've been getting constant BSOD -- varying types, but it doesn't stop. If I get an "OH SNAP" on Chrome, I'm doomed! The same with incredimail. Either one crashes, it's the end of the line for hours.

Most common are 0x50, 0xE8, 0xE7, 0x24, 0xbe. Once they start, they do not stop.

I have tried to get to a recovery console with a Windows 7 disk. It has worked in the past. However, now it's 0x24. I have tried Hiren's boot, even Mini-XP does not work.

Viruses: None. Some "ANNOYWARE", but I've not been able to remove any of it.

WILL boot Linux. But Firefox will Crash.

Nothing new added. Memory has been checked several times, no problems. No added hardware; only one I had came out (video card) because it wasn't working right.

Specifics: CD/DVD Rom, 2 Gig memory (Please do not tell me to add, the machine is probably not worth it), No shadowing or caching can be enabled or disabled.

I am SICK of the trouble. I'd back-up all my files... but I can't access the backup program!

Other errors received "Memory management", "Page Fault in non paged area", "Bad Pool Header."

I would start with a malware scan... malwarebytes.
