only hd gaming performance(fps)
and MOST importantly future value(whether it will work for more time)

770->2gb r9 280x->3gb
256 bit 384 bit
850 mhz i ghz
cooling

how important role will 3gb vram play in future 1080p games, currently 2gb is perfect but still
WHO WINS
PS
1 i am not gonna OC
2 i am not gonna use liquid cooling
3 i want to play new games at atleast high levels (maxed out) (my cpu is i5 4670)
4 i have had a wonderful past with my old n 9400gt(the drivers were ossom)
this time though there is vram difference WHICH WON'T MATTER NOW but can matter later
5 i know both are same but their prices are same to(performance)
6 i am not a battlefield player
7 I AM A GAMER i play games if it looks good :D
8 also what about mantle dx 11.2,12

i am personally biased to the non reference r9 280x what do you think

More about : sapphire 280x gtx 770

Well the gtx770 is slightly faster and currently 2GB is enough for 1080P, what the future brings is guess work anyway but 3GB theoretically would be considered more future proof if we can call it that.

yes i am biased to future working of my pc
but how much do you think matters when you consider
shadowplay,cuda,physx
(i don't know what the hell this stuff means)
i have seen many users complaining about amd drivers
also what about mantle
btw why is you pic/logo a hammer?

Dude,go for the R9-280X.Compare yourself from the AMD and Nvidia Website.CUDA core from Nvidia and Stream Processor from AMD has the similar job in rendering graphics but what makes them difference is their technology and naming only. You see GTX 770 has a 1536 CUDA core but R9-280X has a 2048 Stream Processor. Moreover R9-280X has a 384-bit Buswidth however GTX 770 has only a 256-bit Buswidth.Compare yourself and i hope i helped :D

Shadow play and PhysX nvidia only tech, Mantle AMD but only benefit is if you have a weak CPU the GPU can handle some of its loads. To compare cores on two different architectures never works since different tech's to get the same final results.
If the price is the same I would get the 280X but if the GTX770 is cheaper it is the one I would go with.

+1 on that i agree, similar performance from both GPU in terms of raw processing power, better memory configuration on the 280X, if both cards are the same price the 280x is the best pick i think + the sapphire tryX OC is as good as it gets...if it's in your price range you are very likely to love this card.

The only good reason to go with the nvidia between those two is if the 770 is cheaper by more than 10% or if you plan on recording game footage because shadowplay is awesome for that and comes only with Nvidia cards...

Let alone if the games you play support advanced physX and you want that feature!

i must admit my GTX 780 does avanced physics and it's a feature i'm very dispointed with, i can barely see any difference in the games that feature this like batman and others i tired, i wouldn't really consider this personaly...at least i will no longer consider it in the future ! :D

actually in my indian country the gtx 770 is more costlier (yes more costlier) than the sapphire one:D
