help my pc wont turn on!!

the other day i was playing games and my pc shut down (happend i couple of times) but this time i turned it on and for a sec it was on and i turnd of again and i cant turnid up anymore..
i tried everything switching psu checking all the cables..my motherboard is alright it has green led turnd on..and psu is alright..and i also tried removing ram and gpu but no help.....if anyone knows what is the problm please tell me...ps:sorry for my bad english


cpu:9850b quad core 2.5
gpu:nvidia gtx 260 leadtek extreme plus
ram:6gb apacer
hdd:320 gb western digital blue
psu:engizer 600w
motherboard:asus m4a78 pro
and 4 fans

Ok if all cables are plugged in good then it is either the psu or motherboard related (not to say that it cant be something plugged in to the motherboard).

Remove 24pin connecter of power supply, take a paperclip and put on end in the slot of the green wire, and the other end in any black wire slot.

Nothing happened and that means power supply is dead. But how is green led shining on the motherboard
