cable 1394 msi coolermaster

i'm almost finished the build but i have one cable left from the front io ports, and i think its for the firewire and the wire is labelled cable "1394" but i dont know if the motherboard will fit and if so i dont know where it will go on the motherboard. btw i have a coolermaster HAF x case and i have a msi z87-gd65 mother board

yep thats fireware and correct that board does not have a firewire port

You can't connect it because the motherboard doesn't include firewire controller and you probably don't have a need for it.

i just built this thing, its got the led notification light on the motherboard which comes up with AE, then A9. however the main issue i am having is i am unable to get the screens to functions with the motherboard. i used both HDMI cable to a tv and a vga port to a monitor. yet nothing comes up on the screens. i have tried both, tv and monitor ports on the graphics card (asus radeon 7870) and the mother board ports. HELP GUYS !

Did you test with only the CPU, motherboard, one memory module and a monitor connected to the motherboard (presuming your CPU has an integrated GPU because you haven't provided much info)?

yes i did try it works. i have the intel i7 4770k now i have run into another problem. when i connect a the pc via a hdmi cable through both motherboard hdmi output and graphics card output nothing comes up on screen however windows does recognise the tv. when i make the tv the first display nothing comes up.
the tv is a panasonic TX-L32EM6B. i am using windows 7 64 bit and asus radeon 7870 HD.

Nothing on the screen in Windows or at POST? At least you know the TV is common to both GPUs; have you tried a different TV (presuming you have another TV sets)?

I would recommend you create a new post with an appropriate title that describes that issue. Provide as much info as you can and a member may know what the issue is.

We had that issue between our PS3 and a Panasonic TV, but the cable had cheap connectors. Is everything now working fine?
