hello, i currently have a GTX 690, and in the next few weeks i will be building a gaming pc, but as i using windows 8.1 i would really like to use UEFI native boot for the faster boot, restarting etc... but i am having difficulties updating my VBIOS on the card with the latest UEFI GOP flash from Asus. As i like many, like things as fast as they can go, i was even thinking of changing my card for a Titan black since they support UEFI natively out of the box.

But what do you guys think i should do, i really would like a UEFI GOP install of windows.

No. Its not worth it. I have used both methods and the difference is insignificant. I was able to do it using the onboard graphics (intel 4600) as my primary in bios. In short, if your are building a rig, you will probably get haswell processor anyways to pair it up with 690. Otherwise, the only upgrade that is significantly better would be sli 780s or better and will cost 1000.
