Trying to get ALL the solitaire games back to XP versions. I've just been updated to Windows 7 and I HATE the new versions!
Been reading the posts, and sminlal said
" If you want the XP version to run on Windows 7, then what you need to do is to copy the "Freecell.exe" and "Cards.dll" files from the C:\Windows\System32 folder on your XP system to some other folder on your Windows 7 system. Put both files in the same folder, but don't put them into the System32 folder 'cause they'll wipe out the Windows 7 version of the program. "

But I don't have the XP system any more, so how do I do it? And does it matter if I wipe out the 7 version if I don't want to play it?

Very frustrated now! The link you recommended has been removed so I can't try it - and my question still remains unanswered: how can I copy the freecell and card files when I don't have XP any more??? Help please!
