It you are going to spend over $600 I would suggest getting an Intel processor. Faster, more upgradeable, much COOLER running. Far greater resale value.

As far as the build the second link has the better GPU, the cpu and ram is the same. I would be questining the "high end psu", might in reality be cheap crap.

Let me price it out and see what a diy build costs in uk.

The second one, as said above, has a better GPU but also doesnt come with a monitor.

I wouldnt trust a high quality power supply either. Manufacturers commonly put poor quality ones to reduce price of computers. It also works in their favor since when your power supply breaks, it breaks the computer. Thus you are more inclined to buy a new one.

Here is the same build with a quality motherboard, psu, and case that are known good quality.

No keyboard/mouse/headse yet but comes in $100 cheaper.

Now with that said, i built it to match the one on amazon, not excede it.
Besides gaming, what are your other purposes for the computer and what is your budget (not including keyboard/mouse/headset so you can choose what works best for you).
Then I can piece together a computer that is the best for your budget.

Here is a better build for less. It only has 8GB instead of 16gb but you only need 16 for video editing or extreme multitasking. With that savings I put in a 8-core cpu, an SSD drive to make a big difference in performance, win 7 pro, and a 23" IPS monitor (bundle only had a 21.5").

Lol this. AdumJones, if you wish to get the "best computer for your money" build one yourself.
