I've come across a bit of extra cash lately and I don't have any idea what to upgrade in my build. I'm thinking CPU or GPU but I wan't some opinions and recommendations.

First you should swap the proc out for something better(maybe a fx6300 as you already have a board compatible)..Next you should change the gpu..thats a very good card can hold up with medium setting for a year still with demanding games..but if if you are not happy with its performance you can replace with a better card depending on your budget..
You would not see a huge jump in upgrading the processor from a 6100 to a 6300 for the money to upgrade.
While not a higher end PSU your psu should handle a r7-265 just fine.
You could also buy an SSD to help system performance, wont help gameplay but everything else will be a nice gain.
