Hey guys. I guess I'm having Coil Whine on my CPU (or motherboard, I'm not pretty sure). My CPU have an annoying coil whine noise in IDLE. When I run Prime95, the noise seems to disappear. It's the same as this thread: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/292915-30-high-pitched-noise-coming-area

I did some changes on regedit and power options, and that was a workaround but I'm not satisfied with that. After those changes, my CPU is always at 3.0 GHz in idle, and the tempereatures are always 50º+.
I'd like to know, is there anyway I can solve this problem without having to have CPU at maximum performance on idle? I took a look at this thread, but I didn't understand nothing: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/284396-29-followup-coil-whine-possible-solution

Please, someone save me! I'm getting kind of depressed with this problem.

My rig:
Intel Core I5 3330
Mobo Asus P8B75M
500GB HD SATA III 7.2RPM WD
GTX 650
8GB RAM DDR3 1333 MHz
PSU 650W
Case GS-6010

Actually, it's not the PSU. I already had a problem with my PSU (it was a c3tech one and it was emitting a buzzing noise on it), but I change the PSU ( now it's asentey erp 650ss) and now everything is fine with it, the psu isn't producing any noise.
I have the the exactly coil whine as this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5if0O5wEv0, and, as you can see, he have a quality power supply (CX430).
I guess this is about the motherboard/CPU. I'd like to know if there's any sugestion I can apply to fix it.

So you traded one crappy PSU for another? :pfff:

Anyway, from that youtube video..

Turn up the colume and listen to the high pitch whine coming from what I suspect is the cpu.. goes away after starting Prime95.. OR if I uninstall the graphics driver..

***** Fixed ******
Turn off C states in the BIOS and the problem went away. This by the way was not then the computer went into sleep mode, it was there all the time. And better(no annoying squeal) when you used the Integrated GPU...

I turned off the C States in BIOS, but it didn't solve the problem. The only way to solve it is when I disable idle processor (in power options). Unfortunately, this PSU was the only they had in stock.
Guys, another question, and I'm not pretty sure if it is related to the coil whine one: when I put my computer to sleep, it doesn't get back from there. I mean, I have no video on my monitor. The computer seems to work (fans are spinning and I can see the HD light), but sometimes I see no video. Would this be related to the Coil Whine problem? Is this caused by PSU or Graphic Cards? I'd like to know because I'll take the computer once again to the store, so they can take a look.
Thanks!

I'm accepting new sugestions about how to fix the Coil Whine. It's realling coming through the processor/motherboard. I guess it's about the processor, but I'm not pretty sure though. Is there any way workaround that doesn't make my CPU always in 100%? Thanks!
