I want PC for gaming and 3D modeling and I have two choices:
1- Dell optiplex 960 Core 2 Vpro
2- Dell optiplex 980 Core i5

I know Core i5 is very good but the seller told me that Core 2 Vpro is much better for gaming and 3D modeling, So Please tell me which one should I get.

Thanks

No, go with the Core I5. A Core 2 Vpro is basically a business version of the core 2 duo, and the i5 is going to be a quad core. Could you get the information on what kind of i5 it is? But I'd go with the Optiplex 980 with i5.

I was wrong about optiplex 960, this is what I found.
Optiplex 960: Intel(R) Core 2 Quad 2.83 GHz
Optiplex 980: Intel® Core i5 Processor 650 / 3.20GHz

Optiplex 980 with the i5. After some research I saw the i5 is only a dual core but has hyper threading, so it goes up to 4. The core 2 quad while having 4 cores has no hyper threading because it's from around 2008. Your best bet is to go with the 980 with i5, and if you want to you can upgrade the cpu later on.
