So I bought space engineer a while back for the hell of it.

Obviously a CPU demanding game.

But it goes sooooooo slow on my pc.

My first pc was a 660 ti SLI with a phantom xii 965
like 1fps on big ass maps with tons of blocks etc And I only ran it on 3 monitors and the CPU was crap so I didn't think much of it.

MY new pc is a monster and would... or "should" destroy it.

i7 4770k 780 gtx. 16gbs of ram

Now first I run all my games @5760x1080
That is NOT the problem because I switched from high to normal and to 1 screen and I get like 13fps?
On surround I get like 8?

It isn't my computer, it is new and this is the ONLY game so far that isn't working:

2014-04-21 17:06:07 - bf4
Frames: 53163 - Time: 1213890ms - Avg: 43.796 - Min: 23 - Max: 64
BF4 on ULTRA no AA

2014-04-22 20:39:58 - SpaceEngineers
Frames: 328 - Time: 39079ms - Avg: 8.393 - Min: 5 - Max: 11
Not tested long because it won't matter.
Not even on highest settings

And I do not think when I Get my 2nd 780 it will magically give me 40FPS in the game.

I asked on steam didn't get a answer and I have no idea what the problem is, I cannot see it being a hardware failure.

It's not your hardware. It the games. Read the info on their site at the link above. They say that large maps can overload even high end systems. The more complex the world, the more memory it uses. It's likely maxing out the available memory of your card.

I haven't found a map that gives me 7 fps... I built super ships that overload the renderer though. My specs are Intel Q6600 with GTX 660. What these guys could have done for those maps is make a 3D model and import it to the game. It's a crude way but effective for large objects.

I don't think the guy who made that map, who put HOURS and HOURS into it, did it at 1FPS.

Maybe he has a GTX Titan with 6 GB of ram. Maybe he has two of them in SLI giving him 12GB. Who knows. Clearly it's too much for your system. Your hardware works fine in other games so it's not your hardware. The game's site has a reasonable and logical explanation for your problem. Have you tried playing in a less complex world to see if you get better results?

Yes, space engineer is far to much for my 4770k and 780 which are miles behind the requirements.

I am going to sell my system and SLI 4 titans and the newest Xeon processor.
thanks for the fantastic help.

I understand your frustration, but if you want help that's not the way to go about it. theadler provided a reasonable explanation.

Not talking about resolution. I asked about a less complex world. The complexity of the worlds is what uses up the memory, per Space Engineer's website.

it does work on small worlds but it makes no sense that I get same frame rate at 5760 and 640

But I want to play other people maps that is why I purchased it
