Thingy to connect a case fan to the motherboard

So it turns out I've got not enough fan connectors.
I've got 2 3-pin connectors and one 4-pin connector for the cpu, they're already in use.
Is there a 'thing' that splits up one 3-pin in into a 3 and 4 pin out?

You don't need to worry about that. The 4pin fan connector can fit into a 3pin connection. Only difference is the 4pin has an extra pin which allows PWM.

this is what i use for my water cooled PC.
I like to set custom curves that will spin at exact RPMs that I want to at certain temperatures, and PWM fans (4 pin fans) lets you do that, whereas with a 3 pin fan you need to use a fan controller and manually turn knobs to adjust fan speed.
The splitter mentioned above is placed on a 4 pin header on your motherboard, and you can connect all your fans on it.
It also requires an additional Molex cable to power up your fans, because of the power limit that each header can only give to it's fan. (One header isn't powerful enough to power more than 2 or 3 fans)

Oh right sorry thought he meant that he had a 4 pin connecter but only 3 pin on board. Yeah get a splitter then :pt1cable:
